Hazel - Our Heart & Inspiration

Hazel, our beautiful golden girl, is the heart and inspiration behind Puppawccino. She wasn’t just a pet—she was our baby, filling our home with joy and unconditional love.

Through Hazel, we came to understand the deep, unspoken bond we share with our pets and the importance of treating them with love, respect, and care beyond the ordinary.

From her puppy days, Hazel always dreaded her grooming appointments. What started as mild discomfort over time only grew worse, and she eventually developed a strong aversion to the grooming process. Her experience taught us that every dog deserves to feel safe, cherished, and stress-free—especially during grooming, as it’s a vital part of their routine and overall wellness throughout their life.

Driven by our love for Hazel, we began educating ourselves, learning, and adopting fear-free and low-stress grooming techniques at home during small grooming routines. We focused on desensitizing her and reducing her aversion through constant positive reinforcement and a lot of compassion. Slowly, we started seeing improvements in her response to grooming. This process taught us the importance of giving our pets a choice and how empowering them as equal stakeholders in the grooming process can make a significant difference in their experience. Along the way, we also realized how crucial safety and hygiene are, as we had always been concerned about the unhygienic conditions of most grooming places. We constantly worried about our dogs being exposed to parasites and infections, which only fueled our determination to create a safer, more compassionate experience for our pets.

We embarked on our journey to create something that didn’t exist in India—combining a low-stress experience with luxury. Our vision was to elevate pet grooming standards by offering a serene, high-quality pet spa experience for all our furry friends, ensuring peace of mind for pet parents who truly care. We aimed to build a sanctuary where grooming was not just about looking good, but about feeling good—prioritizing safety, hygiene, and emotional well-being above all else.

Over time, this vision grew into Puppawccino, a space dedicated to offering a nurturing, holistic experience for every pet. Our approach focuses on humanity over vanity, using gentle, stress-reducing techniques to provide a fear-free environment that cares for every dog’s mind, body, and soul.We wish Hazel could have experienced this level of care earlier, and it’s this longing that drives us to provide every dog with the comfort, love, and pampering they deserve. We believe it’s never too late to embrace love and care, and this belief has now become one of our core values.

Though Hazel left us far too soon, crossing the rainbow bridge at the age of 5 in early 2025, her legacy lives on through every detail of Puppawccino. Her absence has only strengthened our commitment to ensuring that every dog receives the love, compassion, and care they truly deserve. While she is no longer with us, her spirit continues to guide and inspire everything we do.

Puppawccino is not just a business—it’s a heartfelt mission born from the love and lessons Hazel taught us. We are dedicated to creating an environment where every dog feels safe, valued, and loved—just as we hope our own fur babies are treated with care and affection.

Nirjhar, a passionate dog mom, transitioned from a successful 16-year corporate career to a dedicated focus on canine wellness, motivated by a deep desire to reciprocate the unconditional love that dogs offer to humans. Nirjhar’s commitment to canine care and holistic wellness is built upon comprehensive training, continuous learning, and notable certifications, including:

Professional Canine Accreditation from The Nash Academy, USA
Breed-Specific Grooming Certification for Golden Retrievers, West Highland Terriers, Jack Russells, and Theodore (Cavoodles) from the Australian Institute of Pet Grooming, Australia
Certified Canine Esthetician, specializing in the intricate physiology and care of canine skin and coat.
Certified Practitioner in Canine Holistic Health and Therapy, as well as an accredited professional training in Canine Massage Therapy by the CoE, UK

In addition, Nirjhar is trained in Pet Tech First Aid and CPR and is also a Fear Free Certified Professional. Her diverse background endows her with the requisite skills and knowledge to offer pet care services that adhere to elevated standards of safety, proficiency, and compassion, promoting a stress-free experience for pets.

Nirjhar is a member of the Holistic Grooming Academy (HGA) and also affiliated with the Professional Pet Groomer’s Association, India (PPGAI).

Nirjhar combines her extensive knowledge with a holistic approach and a commitment to excellence to elevate the grooming experience into a journey of indulgence and joy for each dog. At, PUPPAWCCINO, she is committed to fostering a positive, fear-free environment, respecting each dog’s unique needs and boundaries, elevating the grooming standards in India, one paw at a time.

Pixel, our adorable Bichon boy, is the little burst of joy that adds sparkle to every corner of Puppawccino. As our Resident Joy Ambassador, his playful energy, wagging tail, and snuggly greetings make every dog feel right at home.

Whether he’s welcoming furry friends with happy tail wags or sharing cozy cuddles with our team, Pixel’s infectious cheer fills the space with warmth and laughter. He reminds us that the sweetest moments are often the simplest — a belly rub, a playful nuzzle, or the comfort of love all around.

At Puppawccino, Pixel is always here to add a little extra happiness to your pup’s visit — making sure every dog leaves with a smile and a wagging tail.

Hazel is the most beautiful and adorable golden in the world. She served as the inspiration for bringing Puppawccino to life.

Hazel is naturally good at spreading joy and unconditional love, and because she takes happiness far too seriously, she keeps an eye on Puppawccino’s happiness levels. Hazel is an expert at spotting nervous and anxious behaviors in both humans and fellow pups, and she quickly intervenes to provide comfort with gentle cuddles and sloppy, wet kisses. Her enthusiastic tail wags and warm brown eyes never fail to lift spirits.

As CHP, Hazel visits our groomers when they need a break and gives them a quick nuzzle, a cuddle, or the famous paw shake. She also frequently engages with our customers, demanding belly rubs and scratches. Hazel is the bundle of love that has expanded our hearts forever.
